HP today announced 80 new product releases from its Printing and Personal Systems Group.

The product refresh is the first set of releases from the PPS group, since it was formed from the merger of HP's print and PC divisions in March.

The new releases, which target SMBs, enterprises and consumers, include HP's second generation of Ultrabooks, the world's first mobile all-in-one printer, an all-in-one zero client device with power over ethernet and four new laserjet models.

"The products we unveiled today are inspired by our customers, and confirm our passion to fuse form, function, style and reliability into great computers and printers," said Todd Bradley, executive vice president, Printing and Personal Systems, HP. "We are well positioned to continue delivering innovation in the future for customers around the globe."

The products are on show at HP's Global Influencer Summit 2012, taking place in Shanghai, China.

Steve Hoffman, VP and chief of staff for PPSG, said that development of the new products had focused on four main areas, namely quality, value, business efficiency and consumerisation.

The newly merged group has unprecedented ability to bring products to market, Hoffman said, and the scale of the combined business would allow HP to leverage greater interoperability between products, more efficiency in its channels to market, and better value for customers.

"We are ready to change the market with out printers and PC portfolio in ways we haven't done before,"Hoffman said. "We have the opportunity, uniquely to apply our scale to make these solutions more available around the world than anyone else."

Among the release highlights are a new HP Spectre XT ultramobile Ultrabook, for premium user experience; HP Envy Sleekbooks and Ultrabooks, for consumer users; HP Elitebook Folio, a business-focused high end Ultrabook; t410 all-in-one zero client; HP Z220 Workstations and HP EliteBook Mobile Workstations with professional-class features; the world's first mobile all-in-one MFD, the HP Officejet 150, designed for mobile professionals who need print/copy/scan, and that can print up to 500 pages from a single charge, and four new HP Laserjet printers for SMB and Enterprise and a new Scanjet.

HP has also announced new service offerings, and an improved focus on pre-installed software, to offer premium software rather than "malware or crapware'', Hoffman said.
