The eBook is mobile computer
Two touchscreens open like a book, or as a mini-laptop: the Libretto W100, new concept handheld designed by Toshiba. The idea is very simple, but he was thinking: the screens with a diagonal of 7 inches (17.8 cm), open to form a screen 10 inches (25.4 cm) when the camera is held vertically like a book. If it is placed on a table as a computer, the bottom screen displays a virtual keyboard 108 keys full version, or "light" way phone. The W100 offers therefore a (relative ...) typing comfort despite its compact size (700 g, 20.2 cm x 12.3 cm to 3 cm thick). Intel Pentium U5400 1.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM and 62 GB of memory storage are responsible for animating the whole. However, the W100 shows the lack of qualities: two screens consume twice and one standard operating autonomy is only 2 to 4 hours, depending on the chosen battery pack. The Libretto W100 will be released in Japan in late August 2010, the price has not been disclosed.
