The wait is finally over for the much anticipated Galaxy S III. There's
been rumor after rumor for the past 3 months and last night Samsung
finally revealed the 3rd installment of the popular Galaxy S line of
smartphones. The unveil was very much in line with speculations and
rumors. The Samsung Galaxy S III will host a 1.4Ghz Exynos 4 quad-core
processor and 1 GB of RAM. Compared to the 1.2 dual-core processor in
the Galaxy S II, the quad-core processor in the S III is said to consume
less power thus extending your battery life. Another difference between
the Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III is the screen size. The S II has a 4.3
inch screen and the S III will have a 4.8 inch screen. The difference
in screen size makes the latest Galaxy S longer and slightly thicker
than the S II. The camera in the S III is the same HD camera found in
the previous model but there is no problems there as the camera in the S
II is one of the best on the market. The main camera is a 8 MP auto
focus camera with flash & zero shutter lag. The front facing camera
is a 1.9 MP capable of HD video recording and video chat.
Samsung
added some extra features that is exclusive to the Galaxy S III. One
cool feature is when you are texting someone, you can raise the phone to
your ear and it will automatically call them. Another feature is S
Voice which is very much like Apple's Siri. The camera for the S III
will feature burst mode where it takes 20 pictures with a push of the
button. Then use Best Shot to choose the best from a series of 8. The
Samsung Galaxy S III will have FlipBoard pre-installed since it is not
available in Google Play Store.
